Well, today is the final day of my first quarter. I (hopefully) haven't failed out, but I did drop my weird-ass women's studies class and I'm (hopefully*) scraping by with an "in progress" grade in my core Information Studies class.
It turns out that:
Still, I am getting back into it, and both my grades and the speed at which I'm finishing stuff is improving. Progress! I've been letting a lot of other stuff in my life slide to get that progress but, uh, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ There's always later.
*I turned in the last assignment I needed like an hour ago and obviously it isn't graded yet. If I understand the grading policy correctly I can get a pretty bad grade on it and still qualify for in-progress thanks to my average, it just has to be done (unless I'm wrong, lol). It should get at least a C.
It turns out that:
- 1.) I'm still a really slow study and also still really dyslexic (the main textbook being a pdf of a crooked scan of physical book is not helping)
- 2.) I'm not as over everything that happened last year as I'd hoped to be,
- and 3.) 10+ years was a long time to go without writing essays and following rubrics, and it's taking some trial and error to get back into it.
